NEWS FROM November...

We try to make each day count for every Resident by creating magical moments and enhance their wellbeing through interventions and activities. Some joyful moments from the last month…

With the cooler weather, October activities were largely indoors apart from the fresh air drives. Popular activities were sing-along, arts and crafts, memory lane, board games, ball games, pet-therapy and doll therapy.

Residents Jane, Margaret B, Patricia, Audrey, Valerie, Anne S, Ruth B, Brenda, Ruth W and Dorothy have all participated in our daily good old sing-alongs. Several Residents play keyboard and we were able to capture on photo Hazel playing ‘In the Mood’ on the keyboard. She commented “This is a tune I have known for a long while and I always like to play it”.

Dorothy, Ruth B and Muriel have all enjoyed making and painting the leaves for our autumn display. Muriel said “These colours are really beautiful, I think autumn is such a lovely time of year”.

Residents Audrey, Jane, Valerie, Ruth B, Hazel and Marg., have all been busy painting pumpkins to put on our Halloween display board. Ruth B commented that the children always loved to receive some sweets for a treat, but that she never really celebrated it. Hazel commented that she used to always have a party for Halloween. Audrey and Jane both recalled whilst painting their pumpkins how they used to carve a face in them and have them in their rooms. They both remembered ‘Apple Bobbing’ too.
