Our Residents absolutely love our array of Interactive Activities. From life-like doll therapy to our water activities and suitcase of memories, our constant attempts to trigger memory and unleash joy are what make the Devonshire so special. Considered to be therapeutic, a form of relaxation and pleasurable, we decide to continue with any activities that prompt positive reactions or feelings of reminiscence or affection.
HOUSEKEEPING
Care home Manager Smith (above centre) insists on creating as much normality as possible, as safely as possible during a difficult time, in conjunction with Covid laws. Even down to the fine details such as a 2-hourly disinfection procedure.
FLOWER ARRANGING
Stemming from the joyful reactions this activity creates, our locally famous flower arranging continues to brighten up our care home. For special occasions, birthdays, or simply just to create a fabulous new centrepiece or seasonal decoration, pretty much every single Resident rallies around the table for a statement ‘piece’ of the action, enjoying this popular time!
Wreath-ing the rewards, Devika B & Beatrice S love their new wreaths
Stay safe & well. Our very best for you & your families for 2022!
