Life at the Devonshire - INDEPENDENT ACTIVITIES in december
Welcome to our Christmas edition of our digital newsletter called 'Life at the Devonshire'. We always welcome your feedback and suggestions.
Happy reading!
Stay Safe and well from all of us at the Devonshire.
Joyce V loves getting
her hair done
Let the good times roll. Joyce V (left) looked a million dollars with her hair rollers in. Not dropping the ball, John used to be the women’s netball coach and has shown he has not lost his touch.
READING CLUB
What you see is truly what you get with this one. From Green fingers Barbara F’s love of garden books to the way Jean B & Vivien H endearingly become engrossed in their articles, opening the pages of the 'reading club' shortly after the 'breakfast club'. Special men-tions to Peter and John, who (like most men) simply can’t start their day before they’ve read their newspaper.
DRESS UP
From Easter and Afternoon Tea to (well) ‘just because’ – our ‘why not’ attitude to Dressing up doesn’t stop at the Residents, with Care staff often getting involved too. Pictured right, Eileen E particularly loves this style of hat, consistently choosing this one out of a few different options. Seeing how great she looks, she’s not wrong!
DANCE YOUR HEART OUT
When our Residents aren’t humming, tapping their feet, or longing for just ‘one more song’ they are up and dancing the day away in the best possible way. With the assistance of the ever-enthusiastic Claudia, Beatrice was able to dance her heart out.
FAMILY VISITS
Our weekly family phone calls were established during the first stages of the Covid chaos, and we were honoured to create ‘certainty’ of family contact during such uncertain times. The initial trial was received so well, that we decided to continue with the programme.
Stay safe & well. Our very best for you & your families for 2022!
