INDEPENDENT & PURPOSEFUL ACTIVITIES
Each activity provides meaningful engagement, tailored to the individual preferences of each Resident or Day Guest’s retained abilities and care needs. Terry joins in with Sol to tend to our tranquil gardens and with Geoffrey to complete a jigsaw puzzle.
Jacqui enjoys her trademark knitting.
SOCIAL INTERACTIONS
At the FREE Singing Group & Coffee Morning, Devika, Ginette and Eileen socially interact with the community and share moments of laughter, joy and fun! Research has shown that singing releases endorphins that can make us happier, healthier, and more engaged. In addition to that, it’s so much fun!
WELLBEING
We try to plan and organise many moments of magic and joy. Beatrice, Cathy and Joan love to go on fresh air drives to the park (epitomised by big smiles and laughter).
VINTAGE THEMES
Throughout July, Residents ventured to our Day Centre and the Lyons Tea Room to visit our market stall, make a call from our phone booth, join in activities and sensory exploration, discovering a mixture of textures and surfaces in the dispensary. These activities are designed for different Residents to enjoy and engage in.
GOOD MOOD FOOD!
Florence and Jean joined the party with a sweet treat and Cathy makes ice lollies for Angelo. Our joyful environment and welcoming atmosphere encourage friendships.
EVENTS…
We got into the tennis spirit as Terry, Jacqueline and Veronica enjoyed a spot of balloon themed tennis at the SW ‘Devon’ – shire club. . .
PIANIST & SON VISIT
We were paid a welcome visit by a pianist and her son, whose only aim was to spread joy. Francis gave a thumbs up for the performance, Susan enjoyed every second of it and all Residents revelled in the joyous atmosphere and serenity of the classical pieces!
