 A DAY WITH RAY!

It was out with May and in with Ray – as our professional singer joined our love filled lounge for sounds of the sixties, serenity from the seventies and an abundance of eighties classics! From Terry asking Irene (during doll therapy) ‘May I have this dance?’ to Margaret R and Beatrice dancing the day away, we had a truly marvellous day!

Roger, Kathy F, Janet, Cathy and Charles were visibly pleased to be asked to dance, with the latter’s wide eyed and happy expression epitomising an afternoon of joy.

BIRTHDAYS

We celebrated the Birthdays of Terry, Margaret B (pictured here during doll therapy) and Andy! Each Resident had a lovely day spent with family and our care team.

FATHER’S DAY

On what was a wholesome day full of love, card making and affection, Larry said: “It’s this week is it? I better do a card”. Christine, Jacqui and Florence were fond of our blow up trophy, with the latter overjoyed when saying “Oh my, very impressive indeed!” Front row and centre, John had a day to remember as he was more than ‘on board’ with our decorated Father’s Day board. Smiling and ready for a photo, he cheekily said: ‘Well, do it then, come on’.

STRAWBERRY PICKING

‘Berry’ nice indeed – our day became even more fruitful as regular visitors Jackie and Tony ‘picked their own’ strawberries from the Devonshire’s very own patch. Planting the seeds for more fun, Summer has only just begun!

TRANQUIL GARDENS

The sunshine may have been rare, but once out, we were without a care as Sue took to her favourite bench. Green fingers Kathy F and Charles engaged in a purposeful activity, whilst Veronica (who helped design our gardens) bonds with nature.
