Daisie has her hair cut for charity
Nine-year old Daisie, Daughter of Assistant Manager Sammy, who had never had a haircut, decided to chop her lovely long locks off for a charity that provides wigs to help Children who have cancer. She was inspired by a girl doing it on television and wanted to do something to help other children. Daisie, who is bright and bubbly with an infectious personality, was diagnosed with high-functioning Asperger’s syndrome and autism in 2014.
Grandmother Vanessa, Care Manager, is delighted to say that Daisie has raised £4250, with the Devonshire contributing towards the total. All monies raised will go to the Autistic Society and Momentum Cancer Charity in Kingston. Because there are no companies in the UK that accept Daisies’ afro style of hair, it is being sent to an American company, Locks of Love.
