Celebrating the Chinese New Year

Also known as the Lunar or Spring Festival, we celebrated Chinese New Year 2022 on February 1st, starting the year of the Tiger. Representative of bravery & confidence - that’s exactly what our Residents showed in terms of spirit as our activities team were greeted with intrigue & warmth from Margaret, Joan & Veronica.

A truly pawsome celebration, this event has certainly left its mark at the Devonshire as Veronica's keen eye of the tiger turned to roars of laughter, going as far as wanting to 'adopt' the cute and cuddly printout. Veronica went on to comically quirk: 'I don't know Chinese New Year, but I certainly love the food!'

Earning their stripes with a focused and determined attitude, Joan was purring with interest as she as she had a wild time, Margaret held up her beautiful banner with pride as she not only celebrated, but began to understand the overall significance of this famous day.
