SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS & Tips
RICHARD CHALLONER SCHOOL VISIT
We were invited to attend a special afternoon tea, where we were welcomed and entertained by performances from the talented children! We would like to thank everyone involved for their invitation! Keen to provide a special gesture of appreciation, we hand delivered a signed card from all our staff and Residents, as well as a hamper of chocolates to represent the sweet afternoon we had.
Teepa and her team have done all the hard work for us. They have pulled together all the research and instead of just telling us what happens to a dying brain (like most dementia training), they show us how to support people living with dementia. Their information is prolific and completely understandable and will give you many aha moments. The PAC Positive approach to care is a simple and very effective way to provide care, guiding you what to do and how to manage. Your uncertain moments will become a thing of the past. These small changes will make a huge difference in the care you provide. From your awareness, approach, and effective support you will be confident and know how to respond to de-escalate and prevent triggers and trauma.
Teepa will be at the Devonshire on July 1-4th. We will have a Champions Day on July 1st where you can learn how to master hand under hand (meeting all UK regulations) and supporting a person living with dementia. Here’s the link:
