JULY newsletter 2024
Life at the devonshire
As days went by throughout the course of July, our joyous Residents barely uttered a moan or a sigh as we revelled in engaging specialist dementia activities that provided stimulation and connection from our lounge to our day centre!
Always connecting with others, Charles finds his missing piece during a puzzle! Jacqui’s signature salute warmed the hearts of many. The life and ‘Sol’ of the party returned to our Day Centre and Larry joined Terry for a timely game of scrabble, with the former cheekily saying: ‘Well let’s hope I don’t win again’.
Brenda adored her time during doll therapy as she felt soothed and calm. Francis never misses an opportunity to dance, Irene turned to green fingers as she left our serene surroundings looking as fresh as ever and an excited Sue said: ‘I really do like waiting for my bus’.
Lena demonstrated great attention during singing group, Florence flourished during reading, Dave danced whilst sitting as he tapped his feet to the music and Beatrice preferred to waltz with a staff member.
Kathy F wore her best hat, Ginette and Andy chose to relax and unwind in our peaceful lounge and Terry encapsulated the atmosphere with a beaming smile.
