SPECIALIST DEMENTIA CARE HOME AND DAY CENTRE
You are most likely to be overwhelmed, upset, worried about your parent, relative or friend and could be agonising about what to do. Look no further.
We are a dementia specialist care home – a residence and day centre; located within convenient access to London, Greater London and the M25.
Families often approach us from further afield particularly when their relative has been asked to move from a home because their dementia has progressed and the care home cannot cope with the confounding behaviours. We have Residents from Battersea, Chelsea, Cobham, Dorking, Esher, East Molesey, Fulham, Hammersmith, Kensington, Kingston, New Malden, Richmond, Tower Hamlets, Thames Ditton, Twickenham, Wandsworth, Westminster, Weybridge and Wimbledon.Moving into a care home can be traumatic for some so we suggest moving only once.
We are proud of our success at cracking the code of dementia and improving the daily lives of people living with this illness. We interpret the perplexing behaviours associated with dementia and are able to help the Resident to move on to experience moments of joy.
We have a Day Guest programme for those families who are not quite ready to make the transition to a residential programme.
We have over 30 years of experience as a care home. Our Director was awarded an honorary PhD from the University of West London for her work in dementia and we consistently meet the CQC standards in our inspections.
We hope that the information on our website will be helpful and you will come and visit us to meet our caring staff, experience our warm ambience and find out more about life at the Devonshire.
WHAT Caroline SAYS ABOUT THE DEVONSHIRE DEMENTIA CARE HOME
With trust being the bedrock of compassionate care, we leave no stone unturned when it comes to the integrity & support of not only our Residents, but our family members. Overjoyed at the phenomenal response that we received in our advocates meeting, Caroline showed her appreciation towards our management & compassionate care staff, which was extremely rewarding. Delighted with how her Mother Eileen S has not only settled in since January 2020 (but thrived) during her stay - Caroline (who was understandably mindful of the distance between here & Buckinghamshire) was so sure that her mother would receive 'brilliant' care, that she (in her own words) 'knew this was the most important thing'

WHAT Gerry SAYS ABOUT THE DEVONSHIRE DEMENTIA CARE HOME
Finding a suitable care home for your loved one is a difficult and agonising journey. We have over 30 years of experience in dementia care and would like to help. Family members have volunteered to tell their stories and have given us their permission to share them in these videos. This is what family and friends say about Devonshire Dementia Care Home.
FREE Singing Group & Coffee Mornings
We're delighted that our Free Singing & Coffee mornings are perking up the community every Wednesday from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
Why a singing group?
Neuroscience has shown that singing in a group is like a super-drug! Singing helps the brain release endorphins and oxytocin which make us feel healthier and happier. When we are singing in a group our hearts all magically start beating together. You do not need to be able to hold a note – just come and join in the fun.
Please call Jola on 020 8949 0818 to find out more and register.
