Magical moments from June... Summer BBQ

Each day staff try to create magical moments for our Residents to enhance their well-being through our many interventions and activities. We try to make each day count for every Resident. We capture some of the joyful special moments when Residents show their excitement and happiness. Here are some of June’s joyful moments…

Temperatures soared on the day of our summer BBQ. We decided to try a new entertainer this year called Micky and he sang songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Residents Rosemary, Dot, Jane, John and his partner Sheila got up to dance whilst everyone else sang along to the popular songs.

There was a fantastic plus five moment with Resident Margaret G singing along to all the songs. Margaret was animated, engaged and mesmerised, bringing some of our staff to tears. All our Residents and their families enjoyed the lovely food cooked by our chef Rafael and his assistant Justyna. They served sausages, burgers and chicken with salad and new potatoes, followed by fresh strawberries and cream; and, of course, a lovely glass of wine or beer. All our Residents’ families who attended said how great the day was.
