Life at the devonshire
Always staying in line with current events and seasonal sentiment, we changed the colour of our umbrellas to represent a ‘cracking’ Easter.
Geoffrey opted for an Easter bonnet and (with a wry smile) said: ‘You’re cheekier than me!’. As we painted eggs, Florence was ‘on the hunt’ to hold a choice decoration.
Jean always receives her copy of ‘The Times’ on time. Dave delivered a piece of art, Annette and Jacquelline had a laugh and Francis finger wagged with charm.
Sol exclaimed ‘You get more beautiful each day’ as she cuddled Jackie. Angelo added to our art collection, Kathy sung away and Sylvia wowed during card making.
Beatrice and Terry got into their dancing shoes. Irene and Veronica showed off the final result of arts and crafts and Dot shuffled the deck to play a game of cards.
OBSERVATIONS
From the Happiness Programme to an endless scroll of dementia specialist activities, our Residents were as engaged as ever as we enjoyed purposeful activities and gently encouraged retained abilities. We rallied around sensory games and enjoyed group fun as we continued to make friendships!
